Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 42, 26 April 1917

42. Cross - tombstone, in the chola cemetery in the town of vratsa. Carved in 1889. (an inscription with a date is engraved on its reverse side) of fine-grained white limestone. Four-winged; with baroque contours (viewed from the face). Its lateral wings are small and quartered; the upper ends in a semi-circular large cap. A frieze of parallel double lines is engraved on its face parallel to the final outline; between them the place for ornament is scratched with crossed lines; in the middle, in a low field, three crosses are made, sticking together with their side wings. The crosses are six-winged, decorated with an engraved line. [given] in detail. Dimensions: 90x55x23 cm. Sketched on 26. Iv. 1917. (vol. 8, obr. 104. ). Date: 26 April 1917.
