The sardinian army crosses the po at casale on a pontoon bridge to head towards vercelli and join the 3rd french corps. In the image you can see the railway bridge on the left, on the right the iron suspension bridge demolished in 1896 and in the background the city of casale. Date: 29 May 1859.
