Ivan Enchev-Vidyu Bulgarian Folk Crosses 129, 1 January 1923

129. Cross-stitch, embroidered on the back of a shirt - costume around plevensko. Sewn with multicolored cotton threads on white homemade cotton canvas. The cross is four-winged, its middle is a small isosceles cross with quartered wings, the wings of which develop in the form of wide leaves. The rays of the cross are formed by stylized bell-shaped flowers, which together with the middle of the cross form another interesting cross - on the diagonals of the square, sewn from small squares and enclosing the field in which the lower cross is embroidered. Eight more isosceles crosses are embroidered outside the square. Sketched in natural size according to the original (from the collection of iv. Enchev-vidyu) on 1. 1. 1923. (t. 11, arr. 1. ). Date: 1 January 1923.
