Historical drawings of representatives of the trace fossil genera cruziana and rusophycus (modified from original plates), then regarded as plant fossils and all referred to rusophycus. A + b = “rusophycus clavatus” (rather referrable to cruziana), c + d = “rusophycus subangulatus” (clearly referrable to cruziana), e + f = rusophycus bilobatus, g + h = rusophycus pudicus, j = rusophycus bilobatus. Date: 1852.
