Satire on the peninsular war. (british political cartoon); a satire on the convention of cintra. Admiral cotton, dalrymple, and wellington present the articles of the convention to the french general junot, who is surrounded by booty. A portuguese soldier looks on from behind a screen, complaining that the british have allowed the french to plunder the country. Date: 29 September 1808. Place of creation: London (England): S. W.
