Countess ada of holland besieged by the viscount of leiden, filips of wassenaar (serving william of frisia), at the fort of burcht van leiden, where she had entrenched herself (1204). This battle was part of the loon war (1203–1206), in which ada of holland and count louis ii of loon fought against william of frisia about the succession of the deceased count dirk vii of holland (the father of ada, and brother of william).
