Girl with dog by I.Makarov (1860s), Ivan Makarov, 1860s

Ivan makarov. Girl with a dog. 1860s. State russian museum. The state russian museum collection contains a portrait by makarov, which came from the stroganov palace and is traditionally called "girl with a dog", although it depicts a boy. It can be argued that this is sergei alexandrovich stroganov (1852-1923). The portrait is probably a companion to "portrait of a girl" (state historical museum), which presumably depicts his sister olga. Date: 1860s.
