Title page to a tract entitled "europe in rouw", no. 34 in the series entitled "esopus in europa"; in the centre, an etching showing the recumbent, half-naked, figure of europe resting on an urn lettered "w/iii". She holds a black mantle which is being drawn aside by the figure of liberty holding a hammer and distaff; in the lower right, a fury approaches holding a burning torch and fetters. Jupiter looks down from clouds to the left; in the background, william iii ascends to a heavenly temple. 1702 etching with letterpress printed in black ink. Date: 1702.
