History of Mother Moreau and her miraculous dog, between 1833 and 1880

Oblong cent print with 2 x 4 framed woodcuts, with the story of a woman who sees her dog lying dead, goes to the bakery and then finds him alive again. She goes to the butcher and the dog is smoking a pipe, she goes to the hatter and the dog is feeding the cat, she goes to the fruit woman and the dog is playing the flute, she goes to the tailor and the dog is riding a goat, she goes to a linen seller and the dog is purring. She loves the dog and sheds bitter tears at his death. Contains three- and two-line captions in dutch and french. Object Type: Catchpenny print. Date: between 1833 and 1880.
