Portrait of an unknown gentleman. Black and coloured chalks, pen and brush and indian ink, heightening with white bodycolour, on pink-primed paper, 27. 4 × 19. 1 cm, royal collection, windsor castle. The drawing has been greatly retouched, particularly on and around the ear, beard, side-whiskers, moustache, and hat (parker, p. 48). Date: 1532–43.
