Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel dronningens vagtmester by carit etlar which takes place during the dano-swedish war in 1658-1660. The swedes besieges copenhagen and builds trenches still closer to the city. One night ib abelsøn together with a group of gønger and dutch sailors then has to make a sortie to disturb them. When they returns the next morning they are meet by a large number of spectators. Ib abelsøn lays a captured swedish flag for the feets of queen sophie amalie who has allowed him to call himself for the queens officer.
