Ib abelsøn plans to help the noblewoman elsebeth buchwald and her family to flee from the swedes at the gjorslev castle. The chicken boy palle helps him by getting the swedish guard at castle drunk. The evil kulsoen however has figured out the plan of ib abelsøn and wants to warn the swedish captain esner. But palle tells the guard that kulsoen is a witch so he shoo her away.
