Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel dronningens vagtmester by carit etlar which takes place during the dano-swedish war in 1658-1660. Ib abelsøn has come down from the tower at the gjorslev castle after hiding from the swedish soldiers. The german captain esner in swedish service says that ib abelsøn is wanted as an enemy but also remarks that his comrades keeps an eye on the castle. So he force ib abelsøn up to the roof of the tower where everyone can see him and where he risc to fall down. On the way says that captain esner should rather shoot him but when he refuse ib abelsøn threatens him with revenge in case he survives.
