The noblewoman elsebeth buchwald has requested that svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, holes her hidden treasures at the søholm castle. On their way svend poulsen and ib abelsøn meets a peasant with whom they trust theirs horses as the plan of svend poulsen hardly can be done with them. Svend poulsen tells the peasant what to do but as he leaves he tells ib abelsøn to hide his pistol better. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679, at the right) was a real person but the story is fiction. The look of svend poulsen is also fantasy as there is no known portraits of him.
