Svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, and ib abelsøn has come to arnøje where the noblewoman elsebeth buchwald has asked them to come. Her daughter karen kaas and svend poulsen loves each other and she stops them before they arrives to talk with him. She asks him to bear over with her mother who has been hardende due to the bad lucks of the war. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679, number two from the right) was a real person but the story is fiction. The look of svend poulsen is also fantasy as there is no known portraits of him.
