Ib abelsøn, the young nobleman holger rud and svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, rides through the forest to the village arnøje. It may seems peaceful but they know that the swedes may be near. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) at the right was a real person but the story is fiction. Date: Original illustration from the 1890s, here reprint from 1909..
