Silver chain mail and iron mask this coat of mail is listed in the inventory of the armoury chamber among the chain mail (no. 1); it is made up of small rings of white copper, with the same collar; 47 gilded copper cloaks decorated with multi-colored artificial stones are sewn onto it; on the right side one cloak depicts the sun, on the left a crescent. Three pairs of clasps are also copper, decorated with colored glass. The coat of mail is trimmed with crimson velvet with six ties made of silk braid. According to the receipt book of 167 (1659), january 16th, this coat of mail was brought by the ambassadors of the imeretian tsar alexander among the gifts: “the coat of mail is silver, and upon inspection of copper, silver-plated, the cloaks are copper, gilded, with stones set, and wine; around the edge is worm-like velvet; lined with calico; price twenty rubles.
