Reshmas, or horse headbands among the many ancient rich bridles and mushtuks kept in the armoury chamber are also bridles, or horse headbands with chains, also called "reshmas". Primarily related to the splendour of the riding horse's decoration, gold and silver bridles were decorated with enamel and precious stones. Of the fifty-three surviving bridles, those depicted in figure no. 143 are simple. The upper one is gilded silver with an image of a double-headed eagle in the middle, a lion and a unicorn on either side, in the inventory of the armoury chamber - under no. 42. Date: before 1853.
