Antique broadswords in the armoury chamber - under no. 7; in the inventory of 1687 - under no. 5: “a strip of steel pommel, from the cross on both sides a fuller, from the fuller on both sides a rib, and from the cross on both sides a bare gilded; on the right side two straps, the scabbard is covered with scarlet velvet; on the scabbard there is a frame, a cross, two ferrules, a tip - gold, in them on both sides turquoises are embedded; the handle is fish bone, in dies; and in them gold with turquoise nests is embedded, on a side there are seven nests and on both sides the gold has fallen out of four places; on the handle between the dies gold is soldered into filigree; the gold bracket of the ferrule is broken off, and instead of the bracket a gilded silver ring is placed; belt, colored silk braid, without a frame. And according to the current census of the year, that broadsword agreed with the previous census books; the price of that sword was one hundred and forty-seven rubles. And according to the previous inventory book, that sword was listed sixth in ten. ". Date: before 1853.
