Helmet of mikhail fyodorovich, master nikita davydov. 1621. “yerikho cap of red iron by mikitin, made by davydov; a crown and on top of the crown another crown and a crown base, and a shelf, and a nape are decorated with gold, grass, and in the middle of the cap a crown is decorated with gold, and in the shelf and in the crown there are six silver gilded onion nails, and seven silver pea-shaped gilded nails; the nape is attached on three silver gilded chains, in which there are six silver gilded nails, and in the ears and in the nape there are twelve pea-shaped nails; the undercap has a golden crown, in it, according to the tale and bristle of the goldsmith ivan markov, are forty-three cherubs and eighty-two diamonds in golden nests with enamel, one spark has fallen out and lies with the nose in a piece of paper; and in the cap and on the shelf in golden nests with enamel are two cherubs and ten diamonds; a gold crown with different enamel, in it, in golden nests with enamel, four diamonds; slit ears are lined with gold, a gold edge, in the edge sixty-one cherubs, and on the earflaps seventy-four burmese pearl grains and four diamonds in golden nests, and three cufflinks with enamel, in them are three large emeralds, about them each have twelve cherub sparkles; in the other ear, in the edge, in golden nests fifty-seven cherubs, and on the ear-piece seventy-six burmese pearl grains, four diamonds in golden nests, three cufflinks, in each of them a large emerald, near one cufflink ten sparkles of cherubs; at the lower cufflink at both ends an emerald; the nose from the face is drawn with gold grass, gilded from underneath with satin stitch, on top a gold overlay, and on it a guardian angel chased with enamel; above, above the angel, a diamond in a golden nest with enamel; on the sides in golden nests above two cherubs and at the bottom two emeralds; on the nose at the foot of the angel on the sides are fixed two large burmese grains, between them in golden nests two worm-shaped yachonts, between the yachonts a faceted diamond; two blades: one worm-shaped, the other yellow satin. And according to the current census of the year (1687) and upon inspection, that hat matched the previous census books, it has a crown of yellow satin, quilted on paper. The price of that hat is one thousand one hundred seventy-five rubles, and in the previous inventory book the sixth is written". Date: before 1853.
