Drevnosti RG v3 ill098 - Konchar, before 1853

- a konchar presented to tsar alexei mikhailovich by the greek dmitry in 1657. B - an ancient konchar. Konchar is a word corresponding to the asian khandjar - "dagger"; in czech, concir means fechtdegen, rapier. This is an ancient form of swords, a weapon whose thin point could penetrate armor. For this purpose, german konchars were called pancerstecher. Dmitry astafyev, a greek from tsargorod, who came with patterned goods in 1654-1655, presented tsar alexei mikhailovich with two damask sabres and a buzdykhan of tsargrad manufacture, decorated with precious stones. Such gifts from merchants were rewarded with money according to the assessment. Thus, for example, for the royal seat presented in 1660 by the shah's close associate ikhto modovletov and the armenian zakharov, the sovereign granted a reward of 4,000 rubles in silver and 19,500 rubles in copper; for the diadem brought by the greek ivan yuryev from tsargorod - 18,000 rubles; for the great power apple he received 7,917 rubles. " b. In the inventory of the armory chamber - under no. 4. In the inventory book of the armory treasury of 1687, the concher is called "of german manufacture", although its decoration is in many respects similar to the concher brought by the greek astafyev.
