Illustrator - solntsev, fyodor grigorievich patriarch joasaph's panagia among the grand ducal and royal regalia in the armory chamber is the patriarchal panagia, beautiful in workmanship and precious in materials. Its front side is decorated with a gold-mounted cameo made of a large chrysoprase, on which is carved the image of the dormition of the mother of god, the temple patriarchate. The greek inscription reveals a greek product, which was inserted into the panagia by a moscow artist, decorated with precious stones and enamel, marked with russian inscriptions. On the reverse side, a half opens, on which the following inscriptions are made in niello, arranged in a cross: and the relics of the holy martyr eustathius placidus, the holy martyr mercurius, the venerable alexander of svir, the great martyr panteleimon. In the middle you read: leta /-- by the command of the great lord, his holiness joasaph, patriarch of moscow and all russia, this panagia was erected. The year (1671) shows that it belonged to the seventh patriarch of moscow, joasaph ii, who was consecrated from the archimandrites of the trinity lavra of st. Sergius on december 29, 1667 and died on february 17, 1672. It is only unknown on what occasion this sign of holiness was received in the armory chamber, and not in the patriarchal sacristy.
