allegorical grave monument for van speyk, naval lieutenant who flew his gunboat into the air on february 5, 1831 on the scheldt near antwerp, when he was surprised by the belgians. Depicting the grieving dutch virgin with the dutch flag and national coat of arms. On the front of the grave a representation of the gunboat jumping into the air.
