Illustration from corrado ricci, one hundred views of ancient florence, florence, fratelli alinari, 1906 piazza della signoria in 1485, reproduced at the bottom of a fresco by domenico ghirlandaio, which can be admired in the sassetti chapel in s. Trinità, and represents pope honorius iii approving the rule of st. Francis. The loggia dei lanzi appears without statues. On the railing of the palazzo della signoria, at the beveled corner of the parapet, stands the old marzocco. The houses, demolished in 1560 to make room for the uffizi, are barely mentioned, and the building that stood to the right of the loggia is well defined. (topographical collection of the uffizi. — photo by the alinari brothers). Object Type: fresco. Genre: religious art. Date: between 1483 and 1485. Medium: fresco and fresco painting. Depicted People: Giuliano de' Medici, Duke of Nemours, Leo X, Piero the Unfortunate. Collection: Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Cento vedute di Firenze antica, 1789 (page 13 crop A)
