Cavalier du Corps royal des dragons de France, before 1931

Rider of the royal corps of dragoons of france. This unit, created under the first restoration, comes from the dragoon regiment of the imperial guard. His uniform is almost identical to that worn under the empire, with the notable exception of the helmet with black chenille and white plume, characteristic of the dragoons of the line. The needle is on the left: “the painter’s error or the body’s will? » ask prévost and bourgeot. Date: before 1931.
