Description miracle of amsterdam in 1345
the amsterdam city coat of arms between two climbing lions and crowned by the imperial crown. The right to wear the imperial crown above the coat of arms is a gift from maximilian of austria (then archduke, only later emperor) because of his successful pilgrimage to amsterdam where he was cured of an illness.
