Léon bakst 1866 - 1924 costume design signed in latin l. R. Watercolour over pencil heightened with gold on paper laid on cardboard 47 by 32cm, 18 1/2 by 12 1/2 in. The present lot may be a design for le dieu bleu, first staged in paris in 1912 at the théâtre du châtelet with both set and costume designs by bakst. Date: 20th century.
