A dutch fleet at anchor to the right, a private ship at anchor viewed from slightly on the starboard bow. On the left and further away, the port bow view of a ship with flag at the main and pendant at the mizzen. Both ships have topgallant yards crossed. Several other ships are at anchor in the background. Land is depicted in the distance. This is a pencil drawing by the younger, signed ‘w. V. Vj. ’ a dutch fleet at anchor. Date: circa 1665.
