A lady stands full-face, arms extended to display her striped dress which hangs straight from neck to ankles. The sleeves are full, reaching half-way between elbow and wrist. Two watches with seals hang from her neck, to indicate that the waist is at that place. She wears a turban (see bmsat 8755) trimmed with two feathers. Beneath the title: 'the present fashion is the most easy and graceful imaginable - it is simply this - the petticoat is tied round the neck and the arms put through the pocket-holes!!!' 9 december 1795
