A dutch ship drying sails
a ship, apparently a two-decker, with her main course set, her mizzen half brailed up and driver half hoisted, viewed from close under the stern and slightly on the starboard quarter. A man can be seen furling the main topsail. The tafferel has been left blank. Robinson had some doubt on the artist and concluded that it was probably an offset worked up with a little pencil by the elder van de velde or possibly a much rubbed drawing by the younger.
