A collection of ghosts, Isaac Cruikshank, 1796

A design in eight compartments of varying widths, arranged in two rows. In each a ghost appears to a man or woman, most are fantastic monsters, but there is a ghost of 'old dickins the malster', over life-size, and a headless woman in white. A gigantic ghost leans on a tombstone inscribed 'i c' (the signature). Words are etched above the speakers' heads. 25 february 1796 hand-coloured etching. Date: 1796.
