Copper engraving by hendrik hondius (1573 - 1649) after a drawing by pieter bruegel the elder from 1564: the pilgrimage of the epileptics to meulebeeck (a place near brussels). It is assumed that breugel was an eyewitness to these events. This may have been a late occurrence of dancing mania. Date: 1564 / 1642.
