Title page to a tract entitled "de toverlantaaren", no. 2 in the series entitled "esopus in europa"; in the centre an etching with charles ii of spain on his deathbed, attended by cardinal portocarrera; a monk standing behind the head of the king's bed projects on the opposite wall an image from a magic-lantern of an angel holding a cardinals hat beneath which lie the crown, sceptre and order of the golden fleece with the words "en esto tua esperanca"; the cardinal rises from his chair in mock surprise. 1701 etching with letterpress printed in black.
