Das jungfraeuliche Kloster St. Agneten, Franz Ludwig Reichsgraf von Kesselstadt

[original description] the virgin monastery of st. Agneten stood where ludwigstrasse now begins at thiermarkt. Originally built in 1290 with the support of the patrician konrad zum korb from mainz, it was demolished in 1716-1717 and rebuilt using the nuns' funds by 1725, as shown in the drawing above. After the monastery was dissolved, the church was torn down when ludwigstrasse was built in 1809, and the part of the monastery that is still standing is used by the military.
