On the road a resting woman with a dog, on the right on the ditch side a draftsman with a number of sheets of paper in front of him. A barrier at a bridge in the amsteldijk. Transcription of the inscription: this house is authentically named ruysesteyn / and he is proud to stand above the entrance: / 'rüijschesteyn i am named / but cost lost i am famous'. / also by de ruyzzen is carpentered.
