An english ship drying sails a slight drawing showing a near view of a ship at anchor, viewed from abaft the port beam. Mizzen, topsails, topgallants and spritsail are loosed and the fore course is loosed in the brails. This is a pencil drawing by the younger signed ‘w. V. Vj. ’ it is inscribed ‘no 2. ’ an english ship drying sails. Date: circa 1685. Dimensions: Sheet: 216 x 311 mm; Mount: 404 mm x 557 mm. Collection: Fine art.
