Allegorical representation with the female personification of the amsterdam chamber of the dutch east india company seated on a throne. On her head she wears an alderman's crown, in the right hand a sword with laurel wreath, in the left hand books and documents. Behind the throne mercury, on the left a seated woman with a dog and a key, on the right a female personification with a helm in her hands. On the right two putti, neptune and a galley near two columns. Made after a medal from 1702, minted in honor of the centenary of the voc. Object Type: painting. Genre: allegory.
