A ketch at anchor RMG PW6957, circa 1685

A ketch at anchor a port quarter view of a small ketch becalmed at anchor. The mizzen is loosed; the mainsail in the brails and the topsail is lowered on the cap. A small sprit-rigged boat is coming alongside to port. This is a pencil drawing by the younger, with a false signature ‘w. V. Vj. ’ a ketch at anchor. Date: circa 1685.
