Satire on flirtation: a group of young women are picking apples; a youth reaches up to take an apple from one of them who climbs down a ladder dropping fruit from her apron, while another young woman throws an apple at him; he holds a gun and leans on a fence over which hangs a hare or rabbit that he has recently shot; on the left, a young black man eating an apple, crouches over a basket of full of apples; in the background to right and older man leans out of a window picking a bunch of grapes from a vine.
