Summer: within the oval frame, to left, fishermen wade in a river; beyond the town in the distance, an arch contains images of a set of scales and a lion; centre, a group of men rest beneath a flourishing tree; to right, reapers work in a field of corn; in the four corners of the rectangular frame, personifications of summer hold a sickle and a sheaf of corn engraving.
