A wijdschip before the wind a starboard broadside view of a wijdschip before the wind with a smalschip close-hauled on the starboard tack on her port quarter. There are other ships and vessels in the background. This is a pencil and wash drawing by the younger which has been strengthened with pen and brown ink.
