Attributed to benjamin ferrers, d. 1732 portrait of mary, daughter of john, 8th lord elphinstone later inscribed with the identity of the sitter oil on canvas in a painted oval the sitter was the third and youngest daughter of john, 8th lord elphinstone, and isabel, the daughter of charles, 3rd earl of lauderdale. She married thomas buchan of cairnbulg. Date: 17th/18th century.
