Driendl presented the picture, which had already been created in germany in 1878, with great success in brazil at the exposição da sociedade propagadora das belas artes of the imperial liceu de artes e ofícios (the academy of arts and crafts) and in 1884 at the exposição geral of the imperial academy of fine arts (academia imperial das belas artes aiba) in rio de janeiro.
