genre scene. Interior scene: paris, "palais-royal", "restaurant de justa". Characters: many men are seated at several tables. A man at the right table serves bottled red wine, smoking a cigar. A dog sits at the foot of the table on the left. At this table, a man eats oysters, another reads a newspaper, another looks at the dish presented to him by the waiter and the last one chats with a woman. An oil and vinegar pot are in the center of the table. Two men look at the restaurant from an open window. A group including a woman, probably the hostess, is gathered around a buffet.
