Imaginary portrait of king sancho iv of castile (1258-1284). He was the son of king alfonso x of castile and queen violante of aragon. He died in toledo in 1295, at the age of 36 and after having reigned for 11 years, and was buried in the cathedral of toledo. He was succeeded by his son, ferdinand iv of castile.
