Calvert jones, st. John's square, valletta, malta 1846. At this very early period of photography we are regaled with possibly of how the knights left the area. The parvis has no cannons, no bollards. The steep level towards strada reale is deeper. There are no kiosk. Bartoli galea's house on the left can now be compared, as can the facing block with two windows and a balcony on the first floor which later housed muscat's sport's emporium and the savoy cinema complex.
