Caricature with a bric-à-brac shop where a man, the so-called 'chevalier de bric-à-brac', dressed as a knight and seated on a ornate wooden seat, his legs dangling down, invites two finely dressed tall women to sit on chairs; in the margins to left and right, antiquarian objects and knick-knacks; published in 'aujourd'hui: journal des modes ridicules', 31 october 1839 lithograph, hand-coloured.
