With its soldiers all riding into battle on horses, wagons or limbers, the horse artillery teams were able to keep up with the fast moving mounted units. The east india company's bengal and bombay armies both formed their own horse artillery units on similar lines to the british army's royal horse artillery. Object Type: print. Date: 1859.
