Study of a british destroyer at speed and (below) a monitor and a three-masted sailing vessel, with rough sketches of an aircraft, and a ship's boats
the top image is a british destroyer of the 'acorn' (h) or 'acasta' (k) classes at speed. The period could be between 1912 and 1917. The lower image is an m15-class monitor built in 1915: its armament is one of the early type (m15 - m28). The three masted barque is not identifiable. The boat arrangement sketch, lower right, probably shows the stern of monitors of the 'marshal ney' and/or 'erebus' classes. Date: circa 1912. Dimensions: 247 mm x 309 mm. Collection: Fine art.
