legend - on the front, at the bottom, printed in ink, verses: "these lovers in adolescence, / who of their age is spring, / of love hoping for power, / seeking to make themselves content. // this god strikes their veins / follows the movements of their soul; / and pierces both of their hearts / with an arrow of gold and flame. // he draws them to his prison / by the object of the most beautiful things; / what is the lovely season, / which produces the lilies and the roses // so the dart with which it wounds them, / and which obliges them to love each other / in the ardor of their youth, / takes strength, without being consumed.
